Hi all, i've been looking at buying some projector headlights form USA, these are for the is300, however spoke to the guy over there and he said a very small amount needs trimming off the top of the lights to make them fit the is200. Has anyone fitted these or is300 lights to the 200? Cheers

i have heard the fittings are slightly different, Ormi was looking into doing the same sort of project using is300 lights so he may have some info on how to install them, but also remember the light scatter will be wrong as they drive on the wrong side of the road so the light will shine in the wrong direction and will fail MOT if you do not correct the angle of light.

It is unusual for US cars to have angled lights, they are usually set to point straight forwards, so you may be lucky and they may be easy to angle to UK spec.

they fit in without problems and are very adjustable, the will go both ways, mine went in without problems, but they sometimes need the oem hid ballests like mine, these cost 90 dollars each

Here's the difference between a 1st gen IS HID headlight (top) and a halogen headlight (bottom)

And this is what you have to cut to be able to fit an IS300 headlight to an IS200 without factory xenon headlights.
