looks like i am changing from my rx8 soon Sad
love the car, can fit 4 ppl in easily, get a buggy in the boot etc but unfortunately i need to use car seats so its not really practical.
and as my eldest is moving out then the car will be getting used a lot more.

right so i am looking at changing my motor and the motor i am looking at isn't actually jap. (1st time in nearly 10 years i wont of had a jap motor)
now atm i aren't saying what i am looking at in case it falls through.
but basically there are 2 versions of this motor
1 is 2.7ltr bi turbo producing 261bhp as standard
the other is 4.2ltr producing 344bh as standard plus a whole lot more torque and the glorious v8 tone.

which is going to be easier to run in regards of running, tuning etc.
andwhich would ppl go for???

Audi s4's by any chance? One older shape, one newer shape?

The turbos easier to tune for power I'd guess.
But the v8 simpler to maintain I reckon.

yeah the s4. how did you guess lol
i would love the rs4 but funds dont allow i'm afraid.

but i have seen 2 s4's today whilst out on my travels, both similar price and age.
but 1 was turbo, 1 was the v8.

although i fancy the idea of the turbo'd version in respect of for X number of pounds it can have the exhaust decatted, intercooler and induction etc and then be producing nearly as much as the v8.
but in all honesty when am i oing to use it???
unless i get into 4wd drifting lol but its going to be a big ole barge to throw around.

would there bemuch difference in running costs???

I've never owned either of them so can't comment but any V8 will sound stunning easy engine I would think to work on out of the 2 but other than that I'm useless

I have looked at both before. But it's a very tough choice between the turbo and the V8 that I never quite managed to figure out myself!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

I fancy both tbh.
Twin turbo for the tuning potential
The v8 just for the noise and torque Wink
