they are good, and bought one, only thing was the one i bought was for the iphone with case and i dont have a case on my phone so it didnt sit snug.......it didnt say that on the packaging! so never used it!

I use a Motorola Atrix, and bought a car dock for it. The phone sits in it and the screen automatically changes to provide access to a few selected apps, like google navigation, calls, Torque, etc.

Calls can be either answered handsfree by pressing the enlarged button onscreen or via bluetooth headsets, or even by bluetooth connection to the stereo if you have one available.

Very useful I've found

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake

Iv'e got a jawbone icon and never had any problems with it good battery life, very clear and the noise assasin does work to some degree unless your doing about 70mph and the window is down. But I would be happy to recommend any Jawbone headset.

Stoney I have decided not to go down the fully integrated car kit route at this time, (maybe with the PC instal, but that's a way off yet!) but instead to get a decent bluetooth headset (with noise cancelling) and some kind of phone holder. Does anybody have any recommendations for these items?

I have seen a Jawbone Aliph Prime unit that looks quite appealing, discounted from £89 to about £30, and that is the current favourite. I am not a massive fan of windscreen suction cup mounted phone holders, and wondered what alternatives there would be, (that don't involve screwing into or permanently marking the dash!) maybe with a thin plate that can be mounted within an existing joint in the interior panels of the centre console?

I need to make a decision quickly, as they will need to be ordered in the next couple of days to receive them in good time for Christmas! All input appreciated...

I've got a vent mounted phone holder which actually works surprisingly well, and also a spiderpodium which is great for temporary use and to then chuck in the glovebox.

In terms of a fixed mount as you've mentioned I think Brodit are the best.

As for headsets I think nowadays they're all pretty good so pick whichever one you like best Smile

I'm very often taking and making phone calls while driving. There is no law against it here, but perhaps there should be. I've never been in a situation where the phone has prevented me from driving like I'm supposed to though.

Fortunately my phone has voicemail, so I just ignore it.

i now got a bluetooth stereo so dont need to touch phone but before that had a parrot bluetooth kit and that was good just had to speak and it would answer or say a name and it would dial it and when driving it would reduce volume on the music but not the stereo when talking on phone . there was no echo and would block out road noise aswell so the person you were talking to could here you they start at about £50 upwards but are well worth it
