it glass filler filler mate, used some mesh for the underside of the big hole

Quite hard to tell from the pictures, but I'd say that's about right. If anything you could maybe take off a tad more, but that's just my interpretation of the pictures.

I'm thinking maybe a dust sheet might have been a good investment? :lol:

also done some more work:

Smoothing coming along, still more work to do! (so many little dints/holes to fill)

but its getting there slowly now.

also started stripping the engine:

will take the new head to the engine cleaners this week and then start rebuilding.

finally the new ride i bought the nephew for Christmas, he loves it!

got an issue with my daily at the moment, but will post a new thread elsewhere for that

LOL i realised that about the dust sheet today after some serious sanding.

Just need to figure out how to attach the arches now, im thinking cutting lines down the existing arch, bending them up slightly, then rivets to the flaps, and sealant as well.
