I think you will need to drive them. I expect they will have very different characteristics in the way they put the power down. Either way, nice choice, I've always liked the s4's. Are you thinking avant or saloon?
however the rs4 kitted estate is absolutely stunning.

Personally just for the noise and the grunt I would go for the v8.
The Bi -Turbo is nice too and does sound okay but if your not really into modding it then just get the V8.Anees

I had a weeks loan of Gords Audi S4 4.2L v8 and I now have an Audi A6 Allroad 2.7L Bi-Turbo. This is a slightly detuned version of the engine they put in the B5 RS4.
Personally just for the noise and the grunt I would go for the v8. The Bi -Turbo is nice too and does sound okay but if your not really into modding it then just get the V8.

However on my quest for things quicker than an rx8 I have found something very rare, special and unique
Not going into detail in case it falls thro but I'll say this...
Twin turbo, tri rotor, 350bhp, rwd automatic
And hopefully it will be with me on the tunnel run
If not I'll just be very noisy in the rx8 lol
