ad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. ad:Surely it should be available to Virgin customers if they take Sky Sports (£14 extra a month, I think.) I'm not a big Sky fan, their hardware has nothing on the brilliant new TiVo boxes from Virgin. (Plus I'm not allowed a dish on my listed building!)

i think ive used sky box office once, i download all my films to the pc then play them throught the tv.
i thinbk someone said the channel is free to sky HD customers

Yep if you have the HD pack you get the HD F1 channel free, and if you have sky sports you get the SD F1 channel free (obviously if you have both you get the HD one)
I hope it ends up being a standalone channel on Virgin, would hate to have to get the full sky sports pack (£22 I think) just for F1.

Sky's internal site Watch all the action on Sky Sports HD
Sky Sports F1 HD will take viewers closer to Formula 1 than ever before, with more action, analysis and information - on their TV, online and mobile devices.
The dedicated channel will be provided at no extra charge to all Sky TV customers who take both Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 or who take Sky’s HD pack of channels. It will be found at 408 on Sky’s on-screen guide, after a scheduled move of the Sky Sports channels. Sky Sports viewers without the Sky+ HD pack will receive a standard definition version.
Commentary will be provided by Martin Brundle and David Croft with expert analysis from Anthony Davidson. Ted Kravitz and Natalie Pinkham are the pit lane reporters while coverage is presented by Simon Lazenby. Georgie Thompson will also host a brand new Formula 1™ magazine show each Friday evening during the season.
As announced on today@sky, former F1 world champion Damon Hill will also join the line-up as our expert analyst starting with the first race of the season in Australia.
