Next chapter of my life...
Been a long time since I made a thread really but just thought I'd share something with you:
Well as I'm Year 11, my choices are: Sixth Form, College or Work. I applied for two sixth forms and a local college.
The sixth forms I will be doing 4 lessons, including photography at both, so I'd only get a few hours of photography a week.
The college is a 2 year full time photography only course, so I will be doing photography every hour for 3 days a week, which would mean more photography experience and lessons.
So I had my interview today, showed him my portfolio which included this:

The guy interviewing me was very very impressed with my work and how much effort I had put in with selecting the photos and including the write up with the photos.
So after questions and a chat, he told me I had a place if I could get the grades in the bag, and I already have the Maths and English grades to get in, so he told me I had got a place at the college.
So from september, I shall be starting college doing a 2 year photography course.
Just thought I would share it with all of you

But I must say I'm pleased for you that you have chosen something that you love to do and that will make you happy . After all thats all thats counts :thumbup:

Ditto mate, don't want to put a downer on things but you seem a smart chap so don't give up on getting a full education unless you absolutely want to, you can always pick up on photography later but you can't really go back and do A-levels/university etc.
However well done on getting the placements, that's quite an achievement and I suppose if photography is all you want to do then good luck with it :thumbup:
