What no close up pics of the welding Confusedhock: It was only sent in the post on Friday !!

Stav could you explain to me what the valve dose ? just because my mate has a scooby and is interested to know what will the effect be with the valve fitted and also what kind it is etc etc .

Sorry mate. Will get some lol.

As for the valve it's an apexi exhaust valve. Basically it quietens the exhaust down. You have a small lever in the car and when you pull it it shuts the valve. You lose power whilst it's shut, buy it shuts e exhaust up for motorway driving etc.
Then when you want the power flip the switch open the exhaust back up and away you go.

No no electronics mate, it's got a wire like a throttle cable. So you just need to feed it through from the cabin to the exhaust.

You can get electric ones too but I'm not sure I'd trust them. But that's just me.

Will let you know I have just welded my electronic one in. The noise difference is great and throttle is slightly more responsive.

The local garage wouldn't do it (as it makes the car technically illegal when valve open) - but let me use their life and welding kit.

Did you weld yours inline or on a y piece? Would interested to see how they cope long term with the heat. That's my main concern with the electric ones.
