Price for High End Single Adjustable Coilovers?
Price for High End Single Adjustable Coilovers?
Just a general questions to the community.
Many of us searching for high-end adjustable suspension are face with many choices.
As it will be a huge investments for most of us, we all want to make sure that we are making the right decision.
But ultimately, it comes down to prices and what we can afford.
We would all love to ride on a set of Ohlins DFV, but at £2500 a set it is just a bit outside of the budget for many of us.
So the questions here is what "High End" suspension do you think you can afford?
How much is it? And why would you choose that over anything else in the same price bracket?
As the keyword here is 'affordable', lets try to keep the RRP of the coilovers below £1500.
How much! I though adjustable coil overs were high end!
I was looking for a set of coilovers for my car, Edelbrock are rated highly and cost $697.

Defiantly not what you would call high end - for the average person why enjoys the fast road set up (me) then their more than enough.

I look for reliability, quality and then price. Most people look for these 3 things but in a different order.
This might be a bit off topic, but I think there is market for a cheaper non-adjustable coilover, just so people can get their car lower on a budget. I don't know how much extra the valves and stuff cost, but I know myself and others on this forum are struggling to find 600+ to get coilovers.
I personally am not bothered about the adjustability and damping settings, as I never go near a track. I'd just like to be able to adjust the height of my car. I think 300-400quid would be easier for people to justify.
But like I said, not sure how much all the adjustable damping controls adds to the overall cost.
^^^^^^ this is very true James most buy coilovers but set there car to one hight, i bought springs as thats what my budget could afford at the tiome but now want it lower but without the expense
Koni then. 35mm drop with adjustable damping for @£400.
Had them on my IS200.
