My only tip for sanding (and a very basic one at that) would be always make sure the movement of the sandpaper is perpendicular to your fingers...

i.e. if your fingers are facing vertically, move it sideways, otherwise you get 4 finger sized grooves in the work-piece if you're not careful :thumbup1:

Looking great so far though, can't wait to see this all finished at a show!

Lol I like that tip! Got myself a nice set of sanding blocks though to hopefully avoid that.

Found another issue I could do with some advice on.

I think I'm pretty much finished on one arch, covered in primer etc, but when I've taken the masking tape off there's a lip.

How do I get around this? Was hoping the painter would just be able to match in the arch but if theres a lip do need the whole rear quarter doing!

Do you just mean where the filler has built up around the edge of the tape? If so then I think you're just going to have to feather the edge so it blends in smoothly, it will mean a bit more sanding and re-primering that area but it's gunna need doing otherwise the lip will always be there.

Just get some wet and dry 1200 maybe 1500 depending on the ridge and just very lightly sand just the raised lip until you can't feel the lip and more. (look a full stop I'm getting better haha)
