Can't say I know of any in the west mids but there's a new show we as a club are attending this year in lincolnshire

Which is 98miles from the villa ground in aston (yes I'm a villa fan)

Its an easy drive and ticket price is super cheap for a weekend event have a look in the national event thread for Rising Sun Car Show

Right ive decided to try and supercharge my ride Smile

Progress so far has included ripping out the AC and all the different components. Removing the AC pump will allow me enough space to mount the SC. The SC itself is an Eaton M45 from a merc of some kind i believe. Its a rather big lump of an SC but I've measured everything up and it will fit with slimmer rad fans and a smartly designed bracket. I am building a custom intercooler but for the low amounts of pressure i want, i dont think it will be entirely necessary. We all know that the Z5 engine isn't the strongest engine in the world so this will obviously determine the amount of PSI i can run before the thing blows up. I plan to build everything on to another engine which i have in my shed.

I decided to buy a Megasquirt ECU kit which i would need to custom build myself. It was a little daunting receiving a box full of small electrical components but its all about learning and bettering myself which is also a reason why I'm doing the overall conversion. Having now finished the ECU build id say it was rather easy once i got in to it and followed the correct online guides. It did take a little time to figure out what was needed for the custom circuits but i found a brilliant online document which basically tells you every last detail about the Z5 engine.

Anyway pictures speak louder than words so here are some pictures of the ECU build.

nearly done
[Image: 1003166x.jpg]
and finished in the case.

I would of uploaded more step by step pics if i could find my other memory card with all my original pics on Sad

here some pics of the SC itself with a new inlet/outlet plate on that i made at work

and finally the custom intercooler i custom built at work too Big Grin

anyway, hoping to make some progress on this over the next few weeks Smile
