i hope the admin dont mind this post

tonight we had a fuel protest at oil refineries across the uk. i attended grangemouth from 7pm to 9pm and the other refineries were protested at during that same time. its a peaceful protest and although the police did turn up, they were very chatty with us so providing there is no nonsense, there is no need to worry about them. we would appreciate the support of anyone who can turn up although a legal form of transport is advised for obvious reasons. it is primarily being organised via facebook with small groups being co-ordinated so feel free to join them if you so wish

fuel costs affect everyone whether they drive or not due to transport of all kinds paying for fuel. public transport uses diesel. moving food around on trucks uses diesel and of course, private transport uses diesel or petrol so there is no escaping it and the price is out of control. this is the message we are trying to get out to the public and that is the purpose of the protests. its not just hauliers and farmers this time. its everyone!

sorry, thats the only one i can find. i am not an organiser, merely a local spokesperson as a result of the local press wanting someone to interview. a local business has more credibility than a person so i was asked to represent from the local area
