I don't have ls400 brakes mate. I have the supra ones. You can use the figs kit for the ls ones though. But you either need to find a little off the caliper itself or get the RCA bump kit as well.

Cool, I've e-mailed figs for a shopping list anyway. Cheers!

How long until yours is back on the road? Looking forward to seeing it go again!

I'm absolutely amazed it's stood up. Maybe the old rumour about it being the same as the S15 box is true? Which shows are you heading to first? I can't wait to get a poke around the car and see how everything has changed. Maybe even get a chance to shut a few more honda boys up Big Grin

Right a lot more work today!

Firstly I remade the alternator bracket id made as I wasn't really happy with it, it's now lower down and closer to the engine so much more secure.

Then I had to do the last job on the engine, change the rear oil seal, which meant putting the engine back on the lifting beam so I could reach it. Did that then pushed the seal in too much so had to take the rear end plate off! Grr!
That meant I had to remove the sump again and reseal it, a job I hate cleaning up the sump edging.

But once that was done the engines all ready to go back in bar the new inlet manifold once hurricanes sent me the work of art he's making up.

But to put the engine back in I needed the car turning around so the engine bay was under the beam. This meant I had to push the car out of the garage, right down the drive, into the road, turn it around and push it back again up the slope into the garage.
Well and truly had a sweat on when I'd finished that!

But it means it's a big day tomorrow as the car will finally be reunited with it's heart!

I can then measure up the pipe work to send to OJC's expert Scottish welder to be made up and I can test the height of the car against the new wheels.

I can also plug in all the wiring loom and check all my wiring mods work by putting the power on and reading the ecu.

A little side job was also fitting my new aerial, an integrated DAB one to replace the standard one, not a big job but should improve my signal a lot.

Finally a confession,
In another thread I said the other day I was running the standard IS200 clutch, I inadvertently lied. I thought It was as when I changed my clutch last I got a 1ggte one cheap and that fit perfectly with the j160 so I assumed they were the same and interchangeable.
However when I was checking my clutch today prior to putting the gearbox back on tomorrow, I compared the 2 plates I have to see which was in best nick, ones a is200 one and ones the 1ggte one, and as you can see the 1ggte one is slight larger, as is the contact on the release plate, but they will fit the 1gfe engine and are a toyota part. So would be a good upgrade for smaller money than the performance brands.

Hopefully more pics tomorrow.

Looking like real progress has been made. Well done.
On the roof antenna - the difference made was night and day in my old car, DAB never lost signal once fitted, you may need to make the roof hole just a little bigger?
