LOL.... Got to find some nice roads to drive it first............ Wink :Fish:

To be honest, I don't think its gonna feel like that kind of car; from what Matt@TRL says its got a very wide power-band and is super smooth. He described it as feeling more like a big V8 in its power delivery so it should just be nice and progressive rather then the power all coming in in one big lump!

Still with that much power it should flippin' well feel quick!!

Is it still only mapped for V-Power or have you got more than one map for it mate ?

V-Power only, but with the after market ECU it can have 8 maps that can be switched at the turn of a knob.

Not quite sure what all the boost levels and things are yet, but its V-Power only for now. Will look into maybe a 95 Ron Fuel map (if its worth the hassle?) and I also have a "super economy mode" (Yes........ no need to snigger Gord!) Tongue where Matt@TRL has been playing with off-throttle performance and trying to lean out the fueling. Matt said during mapping they managed to get 260miles from a tank but he hoped to push this to 300 miles +.

300 miles would be a dream in Trans Am, last tank was less then 150 miles:crying:
Cant wait to get her home and warm up this country.

Sorry been mega busy with work, family and also bought a house with which I have been occupied getting that decorated and making a garage.

I've not kept this thread up to date SORRY!

I have still not collected the car but if you remember I was waiting for a new big value head because Matt@TRL was not totally happy with the head on the car.

The car had the new head on a few weeks back as well as a Ball Bearing FP Red Turbo –this has much better transient response and spools up quicker with better top end then the journal bearing version I had; I decided to go for the new generation of ball bearing FP Red turbo’s because they are much tougher and longer lasting.

With the new head the car drives much better according to Matt and with a single plate clutch it drives just like a standard car - remember the aim of this project was to make a mental super fast Evo that also was easy to live with and I didn't want to sacrifice drive-ability; that ruins the car are far as I am concerned!

Standard gearbox is a concern until I can get hold of a strengthened one but will have to just hope it all holds together – torque and power has been slightly restricted because of this.

Some of the recent PMs from Matt@TRL:

Matt@TRL Hi Anees

Sorry for the delay

Its Realy nice, I well happy with it

It made 590 bhp

I Just need to Hard wire that Aeromotive fuel pump

It will be done this week

Many thanks

Main problem I have is the battery has run flat so I need a new one:

Quote: Hi Anees

Unfortunately the battery, Ross or Odessy wont help

I have tried many times to charge it. it just wont entertain it.

We had a used Battery that a little better but not right. for the time been.

Other than that the car is ready.

Next problem is im of mapping in Barbados on monday for 2 week

Kind Regards

Matt

BTW I went for a road test this morning in you car and boy it excited me your gonna love it

I’ve had to wait for Matt to come back this week from Barbados where he maps rally cars which has been hard.

It is my 30th Birthday June 13th so I should finally collect it before then. I have deliberately not thought much about the car for the last few weeks and months because I wanted to avoid getting over excited and rushing Matt – good things come to those that wait and to be honest I have been waiting a LONG TIME so it better be good!!
