Playing With My New Camera

For a while, I've always wanted a DSLR, but since Im not massively into photography, I thought it'll be a waste of money to get one.

I needed a new camera (well I needed a camera, as I always used my phone camera) and I decided to get a Bridge camera, which would suite what I wanted it for (when I say I got it, actually I chose it and my girlfriend bought it me for my birthday, which isn't till October, so she might forget and get me another present!!)

Anyway, first time playing with it I had to get afew pictures on the car...........

Heres a few of my favourite Pics I took yesterday.

Sorry the car is a state, I couldnt be arsed washing it before I took it out! :cursing:

The best colour on these if you ask me, its what attracted it to me nearly 7 years ago when I bought it - true story.

My Mum was looking for a new car, she wanted an Audi A3. Went around afew showrooms in Warrington, and she found a Silver A3 that she liked. While she was out test driving it, I was looking at the IS200's - all lined up, about 10 of them, but none interested me, until I seen this one sat in the corner on its own. The colour attracted me. After a test drive, I said to the salesman if I could afford the insurance, I'd have it, (being 19 at the time, didn't think id have a chance). Anyway, insurance was reasonable so the next day I went back to put a deposit down, the same time my mum put a deposit down on the A3 and my brother put a deposit down on an Impreza P1 they had in aswell - obviously we got good discount that day!

Owned it 7 years, and Ive only done 15,000 miles in it :lol:

Which camera did you get in the end Jon? i only use a bridge cam but get some pretty good pic's with it :thumbup1:

Its the 2nd time i've owned my lex :whistling: so must say something about it and the colour :lol:

I got the Olympus SP-810UZ 14MP Bridge Camera

It came down to price when choosing it to be honest - I wanted a bridge camera under £200, but had to have a rechargable Li-Ion battery rather than using AA's.

I figured DSLRs start at around £400 upwards, and I didnt want anything too advanced to start with, so a bride camera about half the price must be OK. I seen the Olympus, read the reviews and it seemed a good camera to start with. Time will tell I suppose

im still pretty new to dslr i have canon 600d ..bit pricey but well worth the money .its all about practice i guess lol :thumbup1:
