Waxing a car?
Interesting idea, I might look into it one day...... Is this done before or after throwing a bucket of warm water in it's general direction to wash off the worst of the bird cr*p?

If I just wax it will this preserve the comical "Wish my bird was this dirty" slogan that some local yoof has written in the dirt on my boot lid?

All sounds like hard work to me.

I know that some people go in for this "Show 'n' shine" type thing, And some VW owners go for the whole rusty "Rat" look....... Is there something in between that I could go for? Some competition where your judged on how much you car looks like it's just been doing donuts on a village bowling green perhaps? I think I could excel at that.

So when do you do that "Covering you car in clay" bit then? Is that before the washing bit?

Clay's just some sort of expensive mud anyway..... And my car already has normal cheap country lane mud all over it anyway. Putting MORE mud on it to clean it seems a little counter intuitive to me.

Oh well, If that's what I need to do, I'll pop over to the local pottery supply's place tomorrow and get a couple of 20kg boxes of the stuff....... Does it need firing afterwards? Do you lot get that nice deep shine with some kind of special glaze that goes on after the clay?
