Yes, because my other bearing is now making an annoying noise, wish I'd had both of them done!

I wouldn't. They don't normally fail together and getting both done at once won't save you any money. It's an expensive job either way (£200 a bearing including labour & VAT)

just a thought, could i replace the whole hub assembly easily enough or is it a big job?
i can get hold of a second hand one for 40 notes that has the bearings and everything in,the bearings may be good? and if they are
this would save me around 150 notes if its easy enough to swap over.
what dya think?

Yes, I did this on my Fiesta, because it's a car I don't care about and am not planning on keeping long term. The problem with that is you don't know how many miles, how many potholes etc the 2nd hand wheel bearing has endured.

Up to you Smile

yes true to say its a bit of a gamble but cant afford at the mo to shell out nearly 200 notes geting a new one, skint at the moment.
if the bearing is good ill be happy,if not all ive lost is 40 notes and ill have to save for a new one.
how hard is it to remove the hub assembly?
from what i can see it will be upper arm and lower arm is that right?any pointers to what to look out for please.Blush

No problem, that's what the OJC is here for.
