Had to deal with this driver yesterday on my way back from Bradford - Colne.

The idiot decides to overtake at a point where space was not available, then brakes hard, causing me to break. In response, I flash my lights of which he decides to break hard again, I flash again and horn at him and then he breaks really hard nearly causing me to go into the back of him. All this whilst I had my 3 kids in the car.

I am tempted to report him to the police, only if I could make out his numberplate.

Also, 'he was being a ****' wont stand up to much in a complaint, but if you mention that he crossed hatched lines (which means do not cross!) to perform an overtake, in what looks like a speed limited area based on the yellow painted lines across the road, that might have a better result.

Quote..crossed hatched lines (which means do not cross!

Two types of cross hatch,
One with solid white lines means a "NO GO" area http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?num=10&hl...s:67,i:323

and one with broken white lines, these are called "Ghost cross hatch, you can cross and enter these as long as your intended direction is clear and unobstructed http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?start=309...s:309,i:86

The lines are hatched so you can over take. solid lines cannot overtake.

But watching that video,,,you had provoked him for a long time after he made that driving error, you did keep on flashing your headlights long after the incident happened, and this had probably added fuel to the fire
