jay_russell was there no a us army guy that did this in the 50's. have seen something about him on discovery channel being the first guy to do this. he also strapped himself to a rocket to find out about g forces. but still not sure if he was ever put in the record books as it was military classified top secret back then. but still what a way to fall........ straight down like a crazy mother .......
Yes, that guy is called Kittinger and was Felix's main advisor for this jump :-)
