Phil01 I have to agree with you sprinter on this, 2k is vastly overpriced.
A more sensible fiqure is more like 1K but all the time folk are willing to pay 2k then the price will stay that way

Well if me and Pat have our way we might be in a position between us to make a few kits once we've got our own done Smile

It's the fact that all these kits could potentially be 13 years old and have unknown mileage as nobody keeps track of it. It's just "I've done 13K with it, dunnno about the previous owner" So you could buy one and then the bearings go on the charger and wreck it after 20 miles!

Lads, just buy a charger. They are worth every penny. Believe me.

I'll have to disagree with you there, having built my own charger setup from the same components as the TTE kit, 1k for a kit ready to bolt on your car is more than a bargin, i paid close to that 'building' my kit up, and getting it to run correctly.

So paying betweew 1.5k and 2k for a direct bolt on kit with no head aches, no messing about, and can be fitted to work reliably in afew hours is well worth it.

I'm the same, your paying partly for the kit and partly for the ease of fitting!

How else could you totally transform the car in 1/2days?

If a kit came up for sale for £1K I'd buy it, any more than that and it's a waste of money.

I guess it's easier for me to say that when I have the ability to actually make the parts, but if you can't make anything yourself then the cost would be over £2k in getting stuff custom made anyway so it would be worth it in that situation.

lol just get an IS300 - I just paid £1300 for my 02 Sport cross and apart from a TINY amount of work needed it is spotless - and a cam belt that is now done. OK its got galactic miles (110k) but these cars wear so well its not really an issue

These cars are getting so cheap now 2K on a charger that makes your car a whole lot more expensive to run then an IS300 is just crazy.

That was the issue for me too, I'd have to do a manual conversion if I got one. Which would cost more than charging my is200.

a manual converted IS300 is a much better car than a supercharged is200 though.

How so? If you only want 200hp surely there is no real difference apart from the sound?
