el_bandido a manual converted IS300 is a much better car than a supercharged is200 though.

Of course it is - but not as good as the auto one. That is why the manual IS300 never reached these shores.

I thought the same at first but when I got my is300 the auto box won me over its so smooth but can be driven aggressively if you want but the main difference apart from sound is the overall feel and torque but to be fair the sound is amazing ill try and get a video of mine one day keep meaning to

So your tuckin 15's, that's cute but come back to me when you get some proper size wheels

i love my box when its working, just after 10 years and 45000miles you then bump up the torque somethings going to give eventually unfortunately. time to up the sprag and change to the lumpy valve upgrade and get a new solenoid Sad and hope it lasts.

FirebirdPhil Of course it is - but not as good as the auto one. That is why the manual IS300 never reached these shores.

An IS300 converted to have a manual box would probably be better. But the one that was factory produced as a 5 speed manual in the states was terrible apparently.

and the mpg is better, you get more torque, 2j is a better engine to begin with, more easily upgradable, the IS300 interior is usually better, the headlights are better. The list goes on.

since when? They sold like hot cakes. The only complaints I can find are the W55 gearboxes dying once they got boosted.
