Today i spent some more time lining up and fitting the new intercooler and radiator.

Had to cut away a bit of the front but will replace it once i know the final position of the intercooler, ignore the wood that will be replaced by the new custom slam panel i'll make up. Its just to hold the cooler in place:

Also extended my spare fuse box wires and fitted it in the glove box. Just need to cut the one in the engine bay out and rejoin the wires.

Found a great place for the swirl pot as well so now know the dimensions that needed to be so i can get it made up.

Well i decided I needed to strip the interior more than Toxo lol so tonight I did this:

Wanted to take the fan unit out to remove the air con radiator part, had to take all the fan unit out and the strengthening bar to get to it.

Removed all the sound deadening from behind the engine and the abs unit going to polish it all up behind there, also decided I'm taking another wiring plunge and I'm going to re run all the wiring behind the engine to inside to tidy the engine bay.

And the rad and intercooler are mocked up ready to fit once I can weld a couple of bits back into the headlight top supports to hold them.

Hello stav just a quick question do you run the std knock sensors on the engine or did you change them? if so did you put one on or two?

Things done :- SPC turbo kit (custom), Blueflame cat back with custom tip, B&M shortshift, grooved discs all round, Mintex pads all round, OEM wheels in white,Denso ik22s, Calipers painted black,04 spec rear lights, Tein basic coilovers, Helix organic clutch, Fan washer jets, late spec headlights (dark), Carbon bonnet, Hotchkis anti roll bars, Front arm rest, Top box from late spec.

I did run the 2 standard ones to the knocklink.

But I'm also adding a third Bosch type one this year to go to the ecu for closed loop knock protection.

hey mate, only new on here, and after searching the net for over 4hrs with no real luck ive stumbbled across your worklouge.

im currently running the 1g-fe turbo in my is200 but its not too healthy,

how much did you have to change or source to get the 1g-gte in there? as i have also herd you can swap internals from the 1g-gte bottom end into the 1g-fe bottom end,

cheers mate.

ps: your ride is insane.... i wish we had this sort of commitment in Australia....

Hey mate, welcome to the club.
If you've got a turbo is200 your in the right place. We've got a few on here and a few more being built.

Yes the gte bottom ends will fit straight into the fe to allow you to turn up the boost. Search for rabsters is200 that's exactly that.

What's not well with your car?
Dont think you can put the gte in yours in Oz because it's an older engine than the car?

Well today I managed to find some time to get into the garage and continue my soldering.

Done all the wiring for the passenger side of the fuse box, just the wires that run along the bulkhead and the last few from the drivers side to move and the engine bay will be a lot tidier

The engine wiring will come through where the aircon pipes normally come through on a multiplug so they can easily be removed and are well hidden.

Still got a lot of the interior to do lol

Also fitted the new cam covers. Their 1ggeu ones so slightly different to the ones I post a picture of in the other thread but still look better.
I just need to trim down the breather and join then together neatly.

Started making the new coil cover as well, with the Scooby coils I'm using the cover will completely hide them so the only wiring visible at all should be the injectors and they'll be well hidden and tidy.
