looking where though? I've always got a hawk eye on ebay, but finding lexus breakers for specific bits is nigh on impossible.

I could probably do with a 1gfe sump among other bits, I'll have to make a list. I still need to drive up to you at some point and take a look, barclaycard are faffing me about with this loan still though. You free any time in Feb?

Yeah mate. Just give me a shout. Having an op on the finger in January so well see how it goes.

It took me a long time to get a sump. I've managed to get 2 but had to buy a sump and pickup separate for one and a whole engine for the other lol

I wouldn't mind buying a whole engine if it's sub £120, I don't want to drop big bucks as I'm still planning on upgrading the powerplant when the money flows again.

Good luck with the op! How hard is a timing belt replacement on the 1g by the way?

Shouldn't be too hard, will have to read up on the setting of cams but fairly easy.

Toyota make it fairly straight forward. Take all the gubbins off the front of the engine, make sure everything's lined up with the timing marks, take the old one off, put the new one on, turn the crank through 720 degrees and make sure everything lines up, put everything back together.

Provided the crank pulley bolt isn't a pain in the **** I reckon you could do the whole thing in less than 3hrs.
