Little write up on the evolution of my car
Loving the new cam covers, looks so much neater with the new coil pack cover too
The pictures you post up of your stripped interior always give me nightmares though...haha
Lol the interiors not that scary. It's just loose. Once I rerun the loom inside from the engine bay I can put the support bar back in and it'll all be ok in about 2 days work.
Omg! That interior pic is nuts! I wouldn't even know where to start! Lol

Bit more work done today, hoping to finish all the wiring by the end of the weekend. As i said in the other thread only 6 wires to go and the passenger side is done.
then the drivers side which will take ages as im attempting to hide all the alarm wiring properly.
Also gonna get the welder up and running on Sunday so i can start with the intercooler and rad mounts.
Smoothed off the rear boot trim:
Not sure what to do with it though as i have the carbon number plate surround. Do i spray it body colour, wrap it in carbon again, get some carbon cloth and try my hand at that, or be really adventurous and make a mould from it and make a full carbon one?
Also started spraying the brake lines up. Ive stripped all the horrible black sound deadening from the back of the engine bay in an attempt to make it look better.
Noticed on a lot of smoothed engine bays the brake lines are body coloured so they look better.
Primer:
First coat:
Also a shiny new toy arrived!
Walbro GSL392 external pump and mount. mmmmm
Top work mate. Smoothing the boot trim is on my list. You beat me to it! Did you fibreglass it, then filler?
yeah, ive use the fibreglass filled filler to pack it out then filled over it
getting on well mate bet your fed up of wires by now lol cant wait to see mate
Today was kind of productive,
done the new mount for the intercooler and figured out the mounting for the radiator as well:
Just need to get a couple of brackets welded onto the cooler and rad to finish the job
Redid some of the wiring in the passenger arch to tidy that up so another job done.
Also planned out the new power steering bottle positon and will hopefully fit that tomorrow.
Trying to find a way to make the flip flop boot stronger as well so got some steel for that and ill put pics up when its done.
I also modified the standard fuel pump hanger so it now accepts a custom return and supply. Sealed it all up so ill fit tomorrow and then run the new return line as well.
Im slowly getting there and need to make sure ive got all the parts i need as ive got a week off week after next so hopefully big updates then.
