Rabster What is JAE
The Japanese Auto Extravaganza (JAE) is the ultimate Japanese car club event for the keen owner, enthusiast and enthusiastic amateur.
Over the course of a weekend it is the place for like minded owners and traders to meet up and enjoy what is the popular Japanese car culture, it has been previously quoted as "the perfect way to business"
JAE began as a meeting of Datsun Z club members as far back as 1991 and with the growing interest in Japanese cars as both classics and modern super cars since that time, it has grown to the largest gathering of Japanese vehicles of all types in Europe and continues to grow steadily without forgetting its roots.
With everything from 60's (and earlier) classic / retro machines to the latest electronically controlled supercars, the show WILL have for everyone throughout the weekend!
the dates for the show are September the 5th through till September the 8th yes that does include the thursday now everyone so you will be getting an extra camping night this has been done so that people can book the Friday of work and arrive late into the night on the thursday AFAIK this does make the show a 3 night camping event. opening times on the thursday are still to be announced if it opens early enough it will make the show a 4 day event which i think will bring in more numbers.
We at OJC are committed to making this weekend the best fun for everyone, in past years we would like to think we have succeeded!!
we dont know what the ticket prices will be this year as the final price for the show has not yet been released, however we are thinking of doing an all inclusive price for the weekend for OJC (this will exclude alcohol) further details on this will be released later on
If in doubt as to if JAE is your thing or not have a look through the picture threads from the last few years a good time is had by everyone who attends, the only downside is having to go home at the end :LOCMOD:
so who wants to put there names down for next year i have booked the time off my self what about you.....

2013 has already proved to be an interesting year for events..........if only for dates! The F1 Grand Prix is on at a different time and even Goodwood Festival of Speed has changed its dates.
For the first time JAE has found itself on the same weekend as Trax. Trax having to move because of MotoGP taking their original date. Recognising that both are very different kinds of events but that JAE and Trax attract a good number of Japanese cars and car clubs we did not want to force people to make a choice and, with Trax being one day and JAE all weekend it would not be fair to run them at the same time. So, and after much discussion, it has been agreed to move JAE.
JAE 2013 will now start on Thursday 12th September and will finish on Sunday 15th September. The venue will remain the ever fantastic Wicksteed Park and all the usual fun and games, tunnel run, show n shine, football and fireworks will still be there. In fact we’ve even added some new events but more about that next time!
Gates open at 6pm on Thursday 12th September and are open 24 hours a day until we close.
See you all on 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th September!"
.
I may be able to make it this year will have to check
Mys wife's not impressed.
She'd planned to take me on holiday for my 30th but cancelled it when she realised the Jae dates.
Now it's moved we could have gone, and to make it worse it's over her birthday now so I won't be there on her birthday. Oops
Oh dear.. it was nice knowing you Stav.. I'll start drawing up the advert for your replacement :p
I'm still coming, lol.
It'll just cost me in dresses or something to make up for it.
I'll be there as well  Hopefully for a bit longer this time
