Chris0121 Can't you find a way to get the skin off take the hinge off and use some plastic weld kind of stuff and bond it on or even just make a new hinge and catch if you get what I mean

It's not a bad idea, I'd have to grind off the original lid and don't want to risk damaging the carbon.j

try to see if you can just move it in or cut the hinge part down and weld it together so it sits in more. just an idea

The hinge is pretty much flush already mate, think the best bet is either deal with it, or grind the standard one off as mentioned earlier.

Cheers though.

Can you not slot the holes in the hinge where it attaches to the car body?

Now I'm stumped can't even start to think what you could do

So your tuckin 15's, that's cute but come back to me when you get some proper size wheels

Is there a lip around the edge of the new cap I'm just thinking either bend or cut the lip so it sits a bit closer and make some simple hinges just like thin door hinges drill out the stock hinge that's on there looks like its only 2 pop rivets and mount the new hinges on there
Or if you get annoyed which is always a possibility working on these amazing cars get a hammer and a small chisel and go around the edge to make that in further and again with the hinges but I think we'll leave that as plan z last resort haha

Hmm it's a difficult one.
May just leave it and see how it goes.
