freed up the rear wiper motor and connected it back up - it all works, until the gears are connected. More plusgas needed to free the seized parts.

So that's a Wonky Wizard, a Mechanical Wizard and a Witchanic we have in OJC.... what a magical place we dwell Smile

I took Suki for an MOT yesterday and was absolutely terrified, this time last year a boyracer decided to race her off the ramps for last years MOT and smashed her wing in. I sent her in with armed guard, plenty of evil looking potions and spells and she passed.. yet again .. my twenty year old car that i've owned for ten years just keeps flying through those MOT things.

Then I took Sachi to play at Racestyle's house and we all drooled over his Corvette all afternoon and did supra related tasks .. well talked about them anyway.

Then I came home and logged onto FB and found Whifbitz doing an amazing offer, one time only on the GTC300 drift wing that I have been NEEDING since time began... and ... well ... my credit card bought it for me as a late birthday present !!

What a wonderful car day yesterday was Smile

the turbo timer/boost gauge is wired, not plugged so i had no choice other than hide it but the SAFC is plugged so it was removed

then i started the car to go to work and it was idling at 1100 (should be 1500 cold, 700 warm), didnt think anything of it until i touched the accelerator and it was really rough. one phone call to cancel the shift and some messing around in the dark removing a black side panel later and it was rapidly plugged back in and hidden. car running sweet again.

im not mechanically minded so this thing sitting there lighting up and doing sod all else was of no interest to me so i thought, why not remove it? it turns out that rather than a piggyback set up, the MAF sends a signal to the SAFC which then sends it to the ECU. once installed, it has to stay plugged in :blushing:

this saturday morning the bumper is being fitted to complete the front end tranformation from the silver car in the background

the sideskirts will be next

i have never taken this much interest in a car before so i am learning a lot of new things and doing a lot of new things to this car that i have never done before. ok there are some cosmetic mods like the sideskirts but most of it is functional. the VR4 does keep a lot of heat under the bonnet so the vents will help and a wider mouth in front of the intercooler can only be a good thing, even more so as it does look much better. to be honest i am less excited with the new bonnet now but maybe with the other bumper i will like it more......
