Lol at el bandino, that's what happens when you don't look after it lol

Today I started filling the headlight covers so they're smoothed in a look factory.
Also ran the new power cable from the battery to a distribution point under the passenger seat. Then a cable from the fuse box and alternator also go there so it's neat and tidy.

Been looking at controlling the nitrous by pulses as well for more control. Unfortunately my ecu can only manage a 2a output and the relays draw a good 8-10. Nitrous express will sell a box that solves this for £189! With a bit of research I can build on to suit my needs for less then £4! Pays to do research. Lol

Sparkystav Lol at el bandino, that's what happens when you don't look after it lol

I pitched a tent on the roof, that pretty much sums up my approach to this car. I know full well I'm going to bin it on a country lane eventually, so as long as it works until that point, I'm happy. I wasn't overly concerned about the engine as I was planning on replacing it, but I'm going to get a 300 and swap that over instead.

Hub/bearing was not my fault however, whoever installed the wheel bearing ~2000 miles ago seems to have done a very bad job, as the hub is pretty ruined, I'll be on the phone to them on Monday. Rear bushes and timing belt needed doing before I even bought the car, I just didn't bother checking them and pretty much bought a lemon.

The one advantage is I'll go from having a ****-box to something fairly good condition once these bits are fixed. Oil leak turned out to be a loose filter, so I felt like a bit of a *** once we discovered that. Lesson learned though!

Matt - I'll see if we can get an OJC wizard hat made :p

Stavworks IS200 NOS kit coming soon then?

Do remote start via paging alarms like that require their own sim card? Contract/PAYG?
