If the SS one comes with a warranty I'd definitely do that one (with a new belt while you're at it)!

It's not SS I called lol just somebody specialising in breaking soarers.
He didn't say about returns but he did say to send it back if any problems.
Still worth a punt I reckon.

Yeah, I'd go down that route. It can't be that hard to fit but I guess you might need access from above and below. I'd be happy to take a look at it but I'm not exactly local as you know!

It hasn't failed because it's had oil leak into it has it? My 1UZ had an epic oil leak on that side into the alternator.

Thanx for the offer tho mate Wink
Much appreciated.
There's no oil there mate so that's good. And it doesn't look like there's been a leak either Wink

I've had a look at fitting and there's actually a fair amount of room and that's before things are removed.

Well that's the alternator off Wink total time 40mins Wink not bad considering I've never even seen under the bonnet of these.
Once the air box was off and header tank moved it was really easy Wink
So going to take it to my guy tomorrow and fingers crossed I'll be motoring by Saturday.
Then I just need the mot doing (booked for next Friday) then I need to join a breakdown company again.
Mine expired and didn't realise. Thankfully mrs was at home so came to the rescue Wink

That's a quick turnaround! Did they say what was wrong with it? Presumably just the diode pack or the brushes or something to do it that fast

It's really good mate as I'd probably still be waiting lol.

Rabster can you do anything for the emv screen???
Or would it be easier to just put a double din stereo in there???
