Nope it will bolt straight up. So will the clutch.
The GTE clutch is slightly better as its friction plate is slightly larger diameter but both work.

Here's a pic

I wouldn't go much lighter than 8KG. I had a 6KG on the MR2 and it made it so easy to stall and adversely affected the idle control, as the revs would drop too quickly when you put your foot on the clutch.

I think I'm going to have to actually service this car properly so I want to change a few bits while I'm sorting everything out. Found a cheap fairly low mileage gearbox with a new clutch, attached to an engine that's gone pop for a very good price. Might see if I can find a 1g-gte, put the internals in the new engine and just drop everything back into my car wholesale. Should solve all of my current problems for quite a low amount of money.

Hi,

It was me who bought the Flywheel from Stav and it bolts straight on.

I dont feel any difference in pullingpower uphill, the car revs up and down alot faster and it feels quicker. The car is smoother with this flywheel.
This flywheel should deffinatly have been in the car stock Tongue

I put in a clutch with spring and rubber dampers, to compensate for the lack of the dualmass flywheel Smile

Pulling off from a standstill is the same as the stock flywheel, i feel no difference Smile

There's a guy on eBay selling them but they are stupidly expensive IMHO.
