01-02-2020, 10:33 AM #21Earthing the pwl wire on the drivers door made no change to how it was before. Can I check the wires at the relay for earths and lives to make sure I have them? Which terminals though.

01-02-2020, 12:05 PM #22when bridging these two terminals the windows work exactly as they are supposed to, including the locking button on the drivers door, i think i'll just bridge those two permanently, the bottom right terminal is a positive and so is the upper most top one, one of those must 12v+ from the ignition so i'll put the wire on that and be done with it, at a guess i would say the fuse box was broken.

01-02-2020, 01:02 PM #23for some reason the bottom left terminal is not earthed at all to anything which it should be (i think) so somewhere between that terminal and earth to ground/body/battery the wire or circuit board inside the fuse box is broken, i could either take apart the fuse box to find the circuit and get lost in a maze of bits and bobs/wires/chips or who knows what or i can just earth that terminal by sticking a length of wire to ground it on the back of that spade terminal so it has a new earth and the relay would click when the ignition was turned on and my windows would work.
