if you did fancy taking it off and giving it to me for a weekend it make a fixture up and give you another cradle back with your own for the favour!!Smile im a toolmaker and fabricator with cad cam packages and cnc machining centres at hand and ive full use of my workplace to do my own stuff. so i wouldnt be hanging around with it. would only need it for the weekend.

Where are we up to with this now guys? Not had a chance to read through the thread but are we any closer to being able to do DIY supercharger kits now?

Not really, I could have made one though. The only reason I stopped was because I was thinking about selling the car, not because it was too hard.

I'm very close to getting hold of a TTE cradle which I will then hopefully come to some sort of arrangement over with Pat and his workshop for getting copies made.

thats the plan as it stands its a case of getting the cradle, like i said once i have the jig its mine and we can do with it as we please, hopefully making an affordable way for people to get a charger

lets be honest your not gonna want to pay £200+ for a cradle alone

that's a terrible way to do business. What happens if it costs more than £200 per cradle to do?

surely it's cost you and sprinter more than £200 per cradle just in the amount of time you have spent trying to have copies made.

Not if you know the right people and to begin with the jig is free so I'm not gonna over charge people for an item, I would rather see people who want them pay a reasonable price.

I've spoke to my workshop and they can produce them in theory cheaper and once I've made a few I'm handing it over to sprinter and he can do what he wishes with it

My bad I thought you might of actually paid for something for a change - I didn't know you were having the jig made for free.

When I looked into having a jig made, that was the bulk of the cost, the lowest estimate I got from a fab shop was £900 for the jig and 1 cradle and then £100 per cradle after that (but obviously I could take the jig away and have someone else make them) so I was, wrongly, using a cost roughly the same.

so the £200 selling price doesn't make sense for the number your going to sell because most people are all talk and no action.
