This isnt really a hobby you should keep up if you struggle for cash tbh and an IS200 should not be the car your driving either
also I love helping people, who aren't total knackers, ask the more northern lads but I'm not personally a charity nor do I expect it of other people just "because its the right thing to do"
mabee I'm just more pessimistic than you two.
So in the time you've all been waiting for a cradle, you could have saved up enough dollar and bought one. There's a few up for sale now. I've had my lex less than a year and bought one. It's a price I see fair. It's a rare bit of kit and it's the going price. Surely you guys flooding the market is going to massively decrease the current value (which I don't really are about) but what I think is a bit ****, is the fact your making a rare bit of expensive kit. Cheap and overly accessible to the masses.
The car has it's charm, if you will because of it's stubbornness to be modified and to get real noticeable power gains without big money. This is how it should stay. Keeping the interest alive. I would never have bought my lex if the kits were everywhere coz' everyone would have one. With things like this, your just turning it into a mk4 golf etc etc and it will be done and done till its dead. Just my opinion.
by the sounds of it stix yes you are
Im in the military and in the life ive lived for over 12years you have to have faith and the ongoing thought of help others to help yourself.
afterall isnt that the whole purpose of car forums to share your knowledge and experiance with other people for a greater good.
hence why this thread is continuoisly viewed and posted on by people who cant wait for this to happen
Who said anyone is struggling for cash? There's a difference between not being able to afford something and not wanting to pay an over inflated price for a second hand and sometimes incomplete item.

2k for an item that could have done upward of 70k is not good value and is not special
IMHO its a bit of kit that should have been fitted as standard hence why they produced it .
If we go back the 200 was designed to rival the 3series BMW and it didn't due to lack of power that was and is to this day the IS downfall, rare yes the charger is rare but u will find a large group of members with them on this forum alone never mind the countless others.
Lads lets knock this on the head please.
As its been said were a good family on here but why people want to do something is their own reason, whether you agree or not. No one is forced to buy anything (except outlaw membership lol).
Cheers
I havnt been on here in a week and ye are after getting yer nickers in a twist ha ha
rite as stated before i have full use of a machine shop and am a qualified toolmaker. Ive approached 2 people off this site about using thier cradle for a weekend and i would compensate them for it and needless to say .....i didnt even get a reply . So it looks like nobody wants to help us out so id say its a dead end!!
on the other hand if anyone does fancy lending me their cradle for a weekend to copy , ill greatfully compensate them........any takers??
I also have acces to places to get jigs made up for free, now there is enough of us here that have fitted these removed these tweaked them etc I'm sure with combined knowledge they can be created without the need to copy
Pat sprinter have you started sourcing all the other bits if so why don't we knock a frame up and see what happens ?
I can see the benefits of this outweighing the cons
