Not my car, But my house mate's.
He's got a "Well used" turbo diesel Mondeo. He asked me if I could have a look and see what was leaking and making a puddle on the tarmac. Turns out it's diesel.

Everything under the bonnets covered so it was hard to see where it was coming from.......... Till I started it!

One of the low pressure return hoses had split on BOTH ends and was squirting derv into the back of the radiator fan......... Well, At least it should keep the under bonnet rust at bay. Smile

I just cut the ends off the hose and refitted it for the time being. It's a bit tight, But it'll do till I get some more hose and replace them all.

Any fuel that wasn't squirted into the cylinders was used to paint the engine bay. None of it made it's way back along the return pipe to the tank. So I reckon I must have at least quadrupled his MPG as well. Smile

I hate working on oil burners. Even after a long shower, I'm still catching the odd whiff of diesel.

Scotty B.

Air filter by K+N, Exhaust by Japspeed, Brakes by Mintex......... And a scuffed rear arch by my sister. Huh
