Rolex Contact Tony Wood at Woodsport he does this short of thing for MR2's.

He extends the 5th Gear on the MR2 and also does 6th Gear work on the Celica box so may be worth a call.

That would be Paul Woods! That's done by swapping gears from other cars that had the same box but different ratios.

Stix44 Quick question for the maths wizz Wink would the s15 gear increae or decrease top speed?
!

Top speed would increase marginally, you could (in theory) hit 150 before you hit the 7k redline.

Edit: You'd pretty much be bouncing off the limiter at 150 though, might see 151 true MPH. If you want to increase that further, you need to lower the diff ratio. With the IS300 diff and the S15 6th gear, you could (again in theory, with a 7000rpm redline) hit 168mph before you ran out of revs.

You sacrifice acceleration to increase top speed though, so you would need the world's longest bit of straight road... especially in an IS200!

You would be royally ****** if you got caught doing 168mph as well. Not sure what the penalty is for being 100mph over the speed limit, but I'd definitely frame my conviction and hang it in the garage (probably after a short spell in prison).

may well be, I couldn't remember what it was actually at so just took the highest number on the dial as an example for the maths.
