toxo Also that one you've linked to is a JCE15 (i.e. 2jz), in an ideal world I guess he'd want a GXE15 to get the right sump etc.

Or a 4wd 1uz is200..... Big Grin

Well Christmas is over so I was back in the garage today getting on with jobs:

Cleaned, sanded down, primered, and then sprayed my cam covers:

Gonna get the wife to paint the letters back in in red, as she's a steadier hand than me

Also finished the engine bay and prepped it and my bumper for spraying:

Gonna get on with that on Monday, once it's done I can put everything back, and begin making my new brake lines up with my shiny new brake flaring tool.

The water tank and water injection pump have been mocked in place as well before I masked up:

Also tidied up my exhaust manifold:

The head sitting on my new stands:

Alongside all this the engine is beginning to take some shape, but I'm holding off till I've done the engine bay so I've got more room in the garage to keep it clean and tidy as I rebuild it.

Looking good Marc, did you find out why it threw a fit on the way to JAE in sept?

Not yet, prob won't know till either the injectors are cleaned or the mapper has a look when it's rebuilt.

Marc did you ever get a response from any ASNU authorised places to get your injectors cleaned? I've contacted the closest one to me a couple of times but had no response. Need to get my 1zz-fe injectors cleaned before being able to continue with the charger in Feb/March as don't want any issues down the line

I did contact them but they were something like £14 each plus vat

There's one on eBay for £10.50 each so I'm going to send them to them. But they suggest it's the last job as freshly cleaned injectors don't like sitting about on shelves so should go straight into an engine.

Why they do advise it to be the last thing to do? Bit weird....
