Sparkystav They are alpine crossovers mate, I got exactly the same from alpine when the proper ones broke.
If your replacing the speakers in the front you should have 4, 2 little ones and two that are about 6inch or so. The box splits the signal between the speakers in each door as the big one should be bass and mid. The little ones high and mid
I've only got two speakers for the front which are about 6" and they are alpine ones. And Two for the rear. So dose that mean I need to get the two little ones ???

I've got the old speaker out. Backing plates made up from mdf. But don't know what to do with the wires.

There should be two wires going to the speaker. They want to go to the two wires on the black box.
Then the side of the black box with 4 wires. 2 go to the big speaker, 2 to the little speaker you haven't got.

That was plugged into the top of the original speaker
So can't I just use the old tweeters for the 2 that I've not got.
