S14
Some fresh oil new coil packs a new temp sensor for the upper rad hose a intake air temp sensor with gauge ECU talk and set up (although looking at alternative laptop solutions current one way way way to big) and i had a go at flocking the radio surround . Hardest thing out of that lot was actually modifying the the temp sender for the cold air intake wasn't long enough.
260z
Finally got round to getting new plates for it mounted the fire extinguisher and flocked two small cover plates that go over the door handles to match after i pulled off what i thought was a good flock on the S14.
Coupe
Looked at it and thought............................................. **** it I'll deal with that later.
Today was productive:
Supra:
Fixed the catch on the glove box so it shuts properly
Bolted down the centre console so it doesn't move around when you lean on the arm rest
Wired in the lighting circuit in the boost gauge
Connected the previously disconnected turbo timer to discover that it was bust, so removed it
Fitted trim screws where they were missing, solving loads of squeaks and rattles
MR2:
Dan and I stripped the back end of the car Wednesday, so I put it back together
Grind off droplinks and fit new rear ARB and links
Tap out subframe thread which was damaged by previous over torquing
Built up new subframe with suspension arms, engine mount, heatshields etc
Fit subframe
Fit extra facelift bracing that I have been without for months
Refit downpipe & main cat
Properly attach engine bay under tray for the first time since I've owned the car!!! Lol
I think I used a whole jar of copper grease doing all that! ****** knackered now, fitting the frame and cat/downpipe on my own was a mission! I feel like I'm finally getting good at this kind of stuff, no bolts snapped, nothing bent or broke and I had all the right tools to hand! It's only taken 8 years lol
Very productive!
I fitted a set of newer headlights to my mates is220d, a ridiculous amount of clips holding the engine covers on, then 12 bolts holding the bumper! 12 seriously who needs that many lol
mattlaw I've just changed a set of rear subframe bushes on a brand new Gs450!!!!
