At no point did he object to the price, normally if it's over budget they'll say straight away and that will be the end of that. Instead this guy sounded very interested, and asked several questions, and I mean several I've never had so much email correspondence with a prospective guest (somewhere around 20 emails back and forth) and he even wanted to speak to some previous guests so I put him in touch with 2 guests who had stayed previously..........
Everything came back very positive and exactly as he was expecting, and now he turns around and says that everything is great but his budget is £1500 so he won't be going ahead! :cursing:
What would you do? Part of me thinks I should just leave it at that, but the other part wants to send him a pretty harsh email asking what was the point of all the emails if it was over price?
In actual fact I quoted him the wrong price (way under what I normally would) but that was my error so was going to honour the price anyway - £1800 for 3 weeks is an absolute bargain........that's £85 a night for a 6 bed home with private pool, not even sure you could get a decent hotel room for that!

As some of you know we have a villa in Orlando that we rent out to holidaymakers through the year to help cover our costs of ownership - anyway, had someone get in touch about some dates for next year, told him it was available and offered a price of £1800.

Cheers guys, yep first and foremost it is our holiday home - it's almost insulting sometimes, the spa and gameroom conversion that went in last year cost almost $15k, it baffles me that people want that top end comfort level but expect to pay nothing for it :Sulk:
Nevermind eh, it's all part of the game I guess - and obviously as with over on LOC I will offer discounted rates to OJC members so don't be afraid to ask :thumbup:
