My Black 202 Supra
My Black 202 Supra
Been working on the car when I can...
But there has been a death in the family shortly after the last update... and just haven't had the time or the want to do it.
Now things have settled down and the funeral has passed I have started getting back on to the car.
I had a offer come up for some Carbon skinned wings... So I pick them up and fitted them last week.
The new ECU is wired in... It looks like a mess... And it is... But it looks like it's all there now... So I'm just working on the mapping now.
Half way through wiring in...
The freshly painted spats have been placed on to the car ready for glueing on to the body.
The trouble I'm having with the map is that I'm getting interference in the crank and cam timing sensors.
I have been doing some research and found out that this Is a common fault in the stock sensors... And a way to remedie the signal is to add in a resistor.
So yesterday I picked up some 0.6w 2.2kohm resistors and I'll get to fitting them later this week.
Hopefully she will be back on the road this weekend
if she is on the road and you fancy a trip to do some other electrical work you know where i am we may need to re program your tach signal with the new build unlikely but best to say
Just bonded the rear spats on... Looks good.
I'll seam them tomorrow after the silicone has set.
And I'll probably end up doing the skirts tomorrow as well.
Started working on the supra thus afternoon...
Got one skirt test fitted and mounting hole drilled and the front edge bonded... Then it started to rain
Any ways... Bad pics... But you get the idea
With the car cover on you can see just how wide the skirts are
As a lot of you were aware... Nikita made it to JAE this year..
Threre was an incredible amount of stress to get it there... And it ended up being down to the wire... With only doing 6 mile round trip as a test the car before driving to JAE the following morning.
This is what happened...
The 1st September I taxed the supra ready for road testing and mapping.
On it first outing it didn't go very well. It lost compression on cylinder 6
A quick phone call and a bare block was on its way... 4 days left before JAE the rebuild began.
For a lack of better words... She was thrown back together, long days spent and many busted knuckles.
But she was put back together and with a very basic map (which is still on the car) she drove faultlessly to Newark.
Pics say 1000 words
Here she is complete
The following week I met up my friend Nick and a few pics were taken.
He has an extremely rare 1jz twin turbo Aero top Mk3.
And this weekend it was Trax at Silverstone...
Again... More pictures had to be taken...
This time I was joined by my friend and fellow NA-T Supra buddy Luke (aka... Bluudy from Absolute Moddics on YouTube)
More pics..
We ended up getting a few photos taken in the pits and on the pit lane at the end of the show.
