I have been looking at injectors for both my IS200 1jz gte vvti and also another is200 with standard 1g fe engine which i will turbo charge.

I have bought 2 sets of injectors for the 1jz gte vvti, and the last set is from the 1g fe.

First lot were some very cheap denso 850cc for the 1jz which I think are fake because of the price but unsure because i cant find any information on fake denso's. They wont fit the standard fuel rail and need an aftermarket rail to actually fit because the plug is too big. But they are exactly the same size for fitting as the 1g fe injectors. But they wont fit either 1jz or 1g fe head as the o ring is too big around the bottom of the injector. (red at the bottom)

Second set was some proper sard/denso 550cc injectors which I will be putting into my 1JZ at some point soon. They look like they should fit the standard fuel rail. (middle brown)

The top set are the standard 1G FE is200 injectors which i was using to compare them. The plugs are all the same and they are all high impedance. (voilet top)

The plan is to take the original 1jz 370cc injectors and drop them in the 1g fe which will be turbo'd. They should fit as they are almost identical. if not i will fit the 850's which is a little over kill.

Has anyone else messed around with any of these?

Hmmm picture was the other way around, and the plugs are different but was supposed to fit.

How much HP are you aiming for the 1GFE?

For 250hp yellow denso injectors 310cc fromt the 2zz will do the job.
For more than 250hp use injectors from 2.4 rav engine.

Both options fit on the oem rail with no mods.

I have been told the standard injectors are good for 280hp, I want atleast 300.

The denso 850's i have will go straight in but will be over kill, the 1jz 370's i have will also fit but with the other plugs.

The build is on the cheap so I am looking at spending as little as possible.

With standard injectors you will never reach 280hp even with 100% max duty cycle. They have a capacity of 155cc/min. Who ever told you this information was wrong.

You can check any site with injector calculators to verify what i just mentioned.

You can find 2ZZ injectors very cheap and they are compatible with the oem plugs. No need to change anything.

Probably he means the standard injectors are good up to 280hp with a fuel return line and a rising rate FPR. Indeed Simon's turbo kit works this way. There are limits to this too though - rising the fuel pressure causes the injectors to behave a bit differently with different opening and closing times, but as long as you don't push it too much, up to 5 bar fuel pressure at peak boost is fine. More than that and the fuel pump will give up anyway...

The best route in my opinion is to have 1zz or 2zz injectors with a fuel return line and a rising rate FPR - this way mapping will be way easier, because on boost the fuel pressure will rise and the corrections to the injector times will be much lower.
