Think the worst one we've owned has got to be a Flat punto sporting that we brought with 2300miles on the clock,

We picked it up on a Friday before we went to Blackpool on the Saturday and as we drove past the garage on the Sat morning where we had brought it from, on our way up to Blackpool the whole dash lit up, wipers started to work front and rear the alarm was going off, the radio came on all the lights came on around the car and the engine started to race!

I walked to the garage and told them what was going on, and they towed it back (all 100yards of it) found out the wiring loom had melted behind the dash so needed replacing :cursing: they gave us a flat stilo to carry on with our trip which was ok'ish? and got us there and back,

We picked the punto up on the Tuesday drove it home and on the way back the steering wheel came off :cursing: rang them again saying they could have it back and we'd have our money back, and told them to come and get it, which they did? the day after it was back outside our house again with the keys posted through our neighbours letterbox :cursing: So we rang them again and told them it had been nicked to see what they would say (it hadnt been) and he said thats the luck of the draw :cursing: so it went back and we eventually got our money back :w00t: even though that wasnt the end of our problems with it??

We had a letter come through the post a few days later saying we had been caught speeding on the weekend we were away up Blackpool? so we rang the garage again and this time i lost the plot with them big time :cursing: and finally found out it was the manager that had been driving it, we had his car while the wiring was being replaced so he got the fine etc! In the end it had the wiring replaced, lower ball joints, wiper mech, steering wheel, steering rack, airbags, headlamp, front fogs, cd player, electric window motor, plus a few other bits, and all that in 3 weeks of ownership up to the point of us getting our money back Confusedcared: :Chair:

And that was from a main dealer :Shooting::Shooting:

Bandit definitely wins, that's unbelievable! How old was the car if it only had 2k on the clock?

We had a Renault before the Lexus, and that was pretty poor in terms of reliability - it developed a hole in the engine that leaked oil, it had a new auto box, and a whole list of other problems.............

wow bandit thats awful!

Only owned 3 cars: yaris 1.0, focus 1.4 and the lex.

Focus was the worst, bought at 36k miles. Clutch, charge pack and water pump died within the first year. needed all spark plugs replaced when charge pack went. Really good to drive though and my brother is still running it having abused it for about 50k miles.

Was Supercharged Racing Green IS200 Sport. Now APR Stage 1 Seat Leon Cupra (220 Bhp).

In my defence on the Fiat it was my other halfs car of which i wasn't impressed with at all when she said she had brought it :Chair: the car itself was just over 4 months old and had been a demonstrator Confusedcared: would love to know how many they sold after the test drives they did in it?? :confused1:

To be honest never really bought a bad car (thankfully!) but the worst (which is a little unfair on it) would be my first car - a 1991 Toyota Starlet that had a manual choke and leaked oil every day - but it was still a reliable car and worked well! Big Grin
