Rear fog lights?
Has anyone done or thought of putting the LED strip light's into the rear fogs? how easy/hard would this be, not planning on doing it just wondered:biggrin:

The fog lenses can be replaced relatively easily, e.g. I've got clear ones in mine, rather than red ones. I've never tried LED strips in there. You'd need to make sure they were bright enough though, for when it is really foggy.
Can the lenses be split though like the headlamps?, what I was thinking is take the lights apart make a loop with the leds fix them to the back of the lamp then stick the lense over the top, probably would work better with clear lenses and red led's.
I will have to dig out my OEM red lenses and take a look, I can't remember exactly how they're put together.
Cool let us know:biggrin:
how about a big red led strip across the top of the rear screen like the bently continental gt

Here are a couple of pics of the OEM rear fog units :
There are a couple of clips that seem to hold the lens on (you can see one in the bottom pic), but I couldn't seem to get them off just by levering with a screwdriver. Either I needed to use more force, or perhaps there is a thin layer of glue/sealant in there. I didn't really want to end up breaking them to find out.
They will be hermetically sealed (plastic friction welding), the tabs you see are just to locate the lenses. they will not split, unless you get 2 sets and sacrifice one set to cut the lens off neatly and the other set to reuse the rear housing
Could they not be put in the oven to split open like the headlamps.
