Yep initial fears were correct, they have simply forgotten to install - seems an honest mistake though as they had ordered the part in, just forgot to put it on the job card! They were very apologetic and are even going to collect and return the car for free to compensate. I always say the best measure of a company is how they react when something goes wrong, and they've done exactly what I was expecting someone like this to do
Have to say you may pay a premium but the Autoaudio install is immaculate, it's so neat, no rattles anywhere, and not a mark on the dash plus the interior of the car was spotless when it was returned. It's no surprise that they get so many Ferraris and Lambos coming through their doors
Good news Parthiban. I agree with you 100% that the best way to judge a company isn't necessarily when things go right, but when things go wrong (since human beings are prone to human error) and how they deal with that.
It was nice, I wasn't in the mood for an argument
Not yet, will try to get some pics up over the weekend
Few pics to update this thread:
Before:
After:
The graininess of the last pic isn't actually on screen, actually no idea why that showed up - perhaps the refresh rate of the nav image?
Finally some pics of the nav unit under the passenger seat:
First impressions are very good, sound quality is great, and actually better than with the original headunit (which I wasn't expecting seeing as all the speakers are the same). Have to admit the headunit isn't the easiest thing to use, once you know where everything is it's fine, but it does take a while to figure it out.
The GPS is great too, will report back with an update on how good the traffic avoidance is once its fitted tomorrow
