Stay where he is, or go to McLaren and play second fiddle to Hamilton??
My thinking is he should stay put.

Mercedes will fill up what was Brawn with German drivers. (Heidfeld? Rosberg?)
Button will move to Mclaren as Hamilton's team mate.
Just to enhance my smugness, I called this at least a month ago

Have to admit although at first it seemed like a silly move, as soon as it started to get dragged out so much I did start to think something must be up......
Yep with the Merc buyout, I'd imagine Button will go to McLaren and the new Mercedes team will have Rosberg and Heidfeld - it'll be Britain vs. Germany! Although as long as they have one German driver, it would make more sense to keep Button at "Mercedes" as all the mechanics and stuff will have a good relationship and it will keep some momentum into 2010.......
Doesn't look good for Raikkonen though :crying:

Ross Brawn stays on as team principal - and given his past success I'd imagine he'd stay on until he wants to leave.......they'd be stupid to replace that sort of genius!

05-10-2016, 04:25 AM #8So where does Kimi go?? Surly the only teams that can afford him are McLaren and maybe the re-branded Brawn team (with the vast sums of money Merc will bring to the table), which is what Button also has to decide.

This also explains why Heidfeld's been quite coy over the last few weeks......

We'll have to wait and see how this plays out, but unless Button stays at Brawn (Mercedes), I think Kimi's out.........and if he goes, my personal opinion is that will be the end of his F1 career as once you leave I don't think you can come back.
This also explains why Heidfeld's been quite coy over the last few weeks......
