parthiban @2tongues: The battle within Ferrari actually excites me more than the rest, I hope his absence and injury hasn't affected Massa too badly. Especially with the way they forced Raikkonen out, I'm really hoping Ferrari have some real trouble with Alonso next season :lol:

I didn't think they made a fuss, they just mentioned it. There certainly wasn't an explanation and they actually mentioned it a few races after it'd gone up.

It seems there are now rumours that Mercedes are in talks with Raikkonen for the second seat - I still think it's unlikely if things fell through with McLaren but KR's management have not denied it so it's a possibility.
Now that would be a real slap in the face for Button if they signed Raikkonen for more money.......and if their car is better......

Yeah it's getting nuts now, Fry has publicly been quite scathing about the way Button left, clearly it seems that Button didn't behave in the most gentlemanly manner in his leaving.........odd behaviour for a guy who had been so loyal to them for so many years when they were rubbish (poor advice from his management maybe, his manager does seem like a bit of a t**t).
They've even come out and said they offered Button more money than McLaren have offered him (not too clear at the mo, but looks like they offered 12m for one year, whereas McL offered 18m for 3 years), so it really doesn't make any sense at all.
This all does make the Raikkonen story more pertinent, as they're ready to pay big money, and now they want to teach Button a lesson so KR is a better choice than Heidfeld.
This is definitely the most gripping off season for several years!
