Marsdendean I thought you would of tryed to buy something and keep it for a long time??
It could have been fun, but I don't really have the space, and I'd rather just enjoy the Lex (when I get it back !). Also could do without the extra cost.

I have a pet hate for Clios - presumably if it's a hire car it's the current shape one?

Actually it's an 07 plate so it's the previous shape. Actually it's not so bad at all so far, will post pics when I get a chance.

Ahh that's the shape I have a beef with!! I think they are horrible to drive, too high up, the pedals are too close together, the brakes are way over-servod, the fly-by-wire throttle has a delay on it, should I go on lol. That doesn't include the problems my friends have had with them (I have 2 friends + my mum with those clios) Smile

Still, at least you have a runaround Smile

Pedals are that distance as it is predominantly marked at Female drivers and they tend to have smaller feet.

Yeah, reckon you're right. The proportions between pedal position and steering wheel position are weird too. Definitely designed for small people!

AFAIK all MK2 Clios were built LHD and converted to RHD as well. Certainly mum's one has got all manner of weird pulleys and linkages in the engine bay, and the gearstick & handbrake are sprung the wrong way, if you know what I mean. Bonnet release on the wrong side of the car, etc.
