Mine pops up on it's own? Do they not all do that, there are tension wires inside that make it do that?

Marsdendean I think mines broke as the above post. Ill have to have a look to see if i can some how fix it,

I've heard of some that have snapped in the past, so it is likely that's what's happened. Might have to get some new ones (or used ones) or just go down the strut route.

Have to admit mine are so weak now a gentle push doesn't always make it go up, and if you push too hard it bounces and comes back and hits you on the head! Might have to get some new springs, or go for the struts too.

It's supposed to pop open fully on its own, but after a while they often stop doing so. Probably if you have a spoiler on the boot it doesn't help either.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

Is there no way to bleed it?
on the ones you buy from RS you can bleed some of the gas out.

Think it needs to be a variable force strut to do that, and doubt that manufacturers would fit them on a car?

Marsdendean Mine used to fire nearly throu the back window, and i think thats why it has broke some of the boot bracket.
Don't you have a boot spoiler though? I've had two 05 cars as courtesy cars in the past and they lifted quite smoothly.
