Sounds like the alternator to me.

did it just cut out or did she stall it?

Cant stall its auto? Unless there was a way. BTW she didnt drive to halfords Smile. She managed to get home and find a place to park as there was no way it was getting up our street.

She said she was going to halfords then i got another call "Come and help me out of the snow please".

All is good now hopefully, just hope it starts tomorrow

Cant stall its auto? Unless there was a way. BTW she didnt drive to halfords Smile. She managed to get home and find a place to park as there was no way it was getting up our street.

She said she was going to halfords then i got another call "Come and help me out of the snow please".

All is good now hopefully, just hope it starts tomorrow

Your battery recycles after a rest! so would have a little power in it still due to recovering!

Have you got a multi-meter? so you can check to see if its charging?

What does the voltmeter on the dash say when you're driving ? What about at idle ?

Marsdendean Its where it should be! Its just below the 12v and inbetween 9 i think.
Are you sure ? Because it should be above 12v, not below ! Should be more like 14V when you're driving along.
