Under braces are easy to find in the US or Japan.

Sparkystav theres cusco ones, toms ones, TRD ones.

may has to invest in new adjustable coilovers then! unless someone wants to swap a set of adjustable dampening coilovers, with some TTE height only adjustable coilovers plus cash!

They could be ok mate, just something to watch out for:tongue_smilie:

Well had a good/bad day today.

Fitted the front Chassis brace, no problems at all, looks good but i havent hammered it yet.

The reason being, to fit the rear brace you have to remove two straight braces, but as i was taking these off, two bolts sheared off Sad

so now had to remove that bit to drill the bolts out! Grrr!

Also i dont think the rear brace can be made flat as it'd interfere with the bottom of the petrol tank i think, but will report more once properly fitted.

Also i looked at the rods i bought, and ive not a scooby doo where they fit so got some more investigating to do lol

However i did complete another little project today.
I bought a steering wheel through ebay a while back off alamkhan3980.
Its for an IS300, with the cruise control lever, and the Up/Down buttons for the gear changes.

well the wheel needs a retrim first so the up /down buttons will have to wait to be fitted (i know what im using them for though)
But today i spent time fitting the cruise control lever to my existing steering wheel.
Obviously not for cruise control on my manual but for my stereo.

I have the iDA-X100 from alpine and ive been trying to figure out how to have steering wheel control for ages. but hit a break this week when i found a website that told me the alpine have control box built into it you just have to program it!

Basically it works by two wires coming out the back of the stereo, and then you program it to do a different thing as a different resistance is put between them. Coincidently exactly how the cruise control lever on the lexus works!

So now with a little bit of soldering and fiddling the cruise control lever now raises/lowers the volume, goes to next track, and changes source without coming off the steering wheel.

Quite impressed myself, dont know if anyone else cares lol

Well that sounds very interesting matey. Its good that you come up with all these new things to do !!!

Bad luck with the bolts mate , is it a threaded hole or just a nut and bolt ??

Cruise control/radio control thingy sounds cool :thumbup1:

What sheared off exactly ? The bolts holding on the OEM braces that you removed to fit the new rear brace ? So it's not too bad, you just need new bolts ?
